Was that the green wagon?  I think I’ve met Tyler. 

 

The ’57 sitting in my shop in the Charlotte area doesn’t actually belong to me.  It was rescued by an art gallery owner in Beaufort, SC.  Apparently, this truck was shipped to Africa two separate times on Ornithology studies for Cornell University in the late 50’s and early 60’s (or so I was told).

 

It is currently in about 500 pieces in preparation for paint and galvanizing.  I built a quick blog for the owners to follow the restoration process, which is currently on hold for a few months.

There are two for sure here in Seattle.  Gord'n Perrot's 107SW hasn't seen the light of day in a while, but it is there and then there is the "Argentina" 107 that was used for a Western Hemisphere tour.  It has been modified but still looks pretty much like a 107.  My 107SW sold and went to Tyler Lucks in Ohio.  I wasn't driving it enough to justify having it around.  Hard to let it go, but it has a very good home now.
